The LEADS Corporation story

LEADS Corp was brought to the front of the tech industry in 1992 after becoming the distributor for NCR Corporation and overtaking their customer base. The company slowly but steadily built a reputation as a trusted information technology solutions provider in Bangladesh. Today, the company employs over 300 people and provides a much wider variety of technical services.

The recruitment process

The recruitment process with LEADS is straightforward. Candidates simply apply through our website, or by sending a CV directly to the recruitment email. You can also apply by visiting their vacancies page and providing your name, email, contact number, department of interest, and CV.

The interview process is much more complicated, with a total of four steps you’ll need to pass before being offered a job. The first step involves a written aptitude test, with questions revolving around analytical, logical, and mathematical reasoning skills. The next step is a technical test/interview, which involves questions directly related to the position in which you’re applying. The third step is a ‘Board Interview,’ which tests your leadership and communication skills. The final step is an interview with the CEO, who will ultimately decide your future with the company.

Overall, from start to finish, the process generally takes around 4+ weeks.

Career prospects

Though the company doesn’t often have direct vacancy listings, career prospects within the walls of LEADS are quite broad. Graduates in a variety of fields, including Business, Computer Science, Human Resources, and more, are encouraged to send in a CV, even if there are no current openings.

The company states ‘LEADS provides everything you could want in a company. Long-term growth, career development, challenging work, amazing culture of giving and the opportunity to work with fantastic, dedicated, team-oriented people.’ This sentiment generally rings true in the company, especially for interns and those who wish to advance to a higher-ups position.

Though there are ample career prospects, opportunities for advancement, and fantastic internship possibilities, the company is plagued with an odd payment scheduling system. Payments are reportedly continuously delayed for periods up to three or four months past their due date.

Remuneration

Remuneration with LEADS is about average compared to the overall Bangladesh job market. Software engineering jobs (which are regularly available) offer around BDT 360k (USD 4,233) annually. Aside from senior positions, IT Project Managers earn a considerably higher wage than other jobs, with salaries reaching up to BDT 1.2m (USD 14,111) annually. Business Analysts with LEADS can typically earn an annual salary of around BDT 749k (USD 8,808).

The culture

The culture and workplace environment is reportedly friendly with a general sense of cooperation among the employees. The company mentions its commitment to teamwork with ‘We recognize that every team member has his/her own unique role in the team, and we respect & appreciate individual contributions.’ While companies always make positive claims about their own workplace cultures, this information is backed up by current and past employee reviews.

General vibe of the place

Though the company has its merits, it’s worth pointing out that the one common aspect among practically all past and current employee reviews is the mention of delayed pay periods; that salary payments can take up to three or four months to make it to the employees. Otherwise, however, the workplace environment is conducive to cooperation, there are ample opportunities to work your way up the ladder, and their internships are well-rounded and beneficial.
